Published 21 June 2010 | By GDS Link

Kabbage Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia, provides working capital to online sellers, enabling them to address the typical uncertainty in cash flow involved with online retail, as well as to grow through acquiring more inventory, hiring more employees and improving backend systems.

Utilising GDS Link's DataView360™ Kabbage has gained technology that reacts to business changes in real time, allowing the company to freely modify criteria within DataView360 to adapt to the evolving needs of its customers and market conditions.

GDS Link, a global provider of customer-centric risk management and process automation solutions, announced today that Atlanta-based Kabbage Inc. selected its flagship solution, DataView360™, for nontraditional data aggregation and its flexible underwriting capabilities. Kabbage quickly and cost effectively underwrites, funds and services loans to eBay®, Amazon® and other online marketplace sellers, a market that generates more than $70 billion in sales annually.

Addressing a large need amplified by the current credit crisis, Kabbage provides working capital to online sellers, enabling them to address the typical uncertainty in cash flow involved with online retail, as well as to grow through acquiring more inventory, hiring more employees and improving backend systems. To provide this niche market access to funding, Kabbage needed a solution to aggregate a significant amount of disparate data, most of which had never been used in underwriting or did not follow traditional data criteria. Kabbage found that with GDS Link's DataView360, it could completely configure the software to its unique business model, as well as easily connect with and leverage several third party data sources.

"With more than eight million online sellers in the marketplace, we required solid processes to help us accurately identify which customers will be the most profitable," said Kathryn Petralia, Kabbage COO. "With DataView360, we gain access to flexible, creative underwriting and sound reporting mechanisms to best understand our distinctive market and enable us to make sound business decisions."

GDS Link enables Kabbage to reduce its workload and better focus on opportunities for growth, as opposed to maintaining connectivity to multiple platforms. Additionally, Kabbage has gained technology that reacts to business changes in real time, allowing the company to freely modify criteria within DataView360 to adapt to the evolving needs of its customers and market conditions. DataView360 supports internal and external data access, attribute set creation and maintenance, scorecard model implementation, unlimited decisioning and retro scoring processes.

"Kabbage required a solution that would enable a flexible, yet very comprehensive approach to business," explained Paul Greenwood, president of GDS Link. "DataView360 is completely configurable to meet any company's specific risk management needs, and allows for easy integration to third-party data sources for identity verification, fraud prevention and credit assessment."
