The challenge: global consistency and transparency

DLL was looking for a solution that supports the implementation of their global risk & control framework. They also wanted to create more transparency and consistency with regard to business process modeling. Prerequisite for the tool selection was the ability to integrate risk management and process management activities. DLL uses BWise to document and communicate business processes. Processes are modeled according to worldwide company standards, which guarantees consistency, clarity and transparency. Based on their business process model key risks have been identified and controls have been defined and implemented. In order to manage the key risks, BWise supports in controls testing and active management on identified issues. Finally, within the framework of Basel II, DLL uses the application for incident registration.

The solution: governance, risk & compliance

DLL required a 100% integrated platform, integrating:

  • Loss database (incident registration)
  • Risk and control framework, risk assessments and control testing
  • Process management

The benefits

  • Global methodology and setup of processes and a risk and control framework
  • Active management on (operational) risk issues
  • Transparency in business processes, related risks and controls
