GE Money supplies Hancock Bank with new card product

BBR Staff Writer Published 10 November 2006

GE Money, the consumer finance unit of the General Electric Company, has partnered with US-based financial institution Hancock Bank to provide a Platinum Visa credit card to its customers in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama.

The collaboration is in line with GE Money's strategy to expand its partnerships in the agent bank space. The new consumer card will feature the Hancock Bank brand. Cardholders will earn net rewards - one point for every dollar spent, which may be redeemed for merchandise, cash, gift cards or travel. The card product will be made available to Hancock Bank's retail customers throughout the Gulf Coast region at Hancock Bank branches, at the bank's website, and through direct mail. GE is very excited to partner with Hancock Bank to provide enhanced credit card programs and exceptional rewards offerings, said Scott Young, leader of GE Money's personal finance business. As a leading provider of partnership credit card programs, we are constantly working to align with financial institutions that deliver excellent value and the highest levels of service to their customers. Teaming up with Hancock Bank is a perfect match. The Platinum Visa credit card is scheduled to be launched on November 15, 2006.
