EDS To Provide IT Services To American Express

EDS to manage the American Express end-user desktop computing environment and global voice and data networks

EDS, a global technology services provider, has entered into a five-year technology services agreement with American Express. The initial implementation of the infrastructure services agreement, was signed in December 2008 and it has been completed without business interruption to American Express employees and customers.

Under the agreement, EDS manages the American Express end-user desktop computing environment and its global voice and data networks. In addition, EDS will provide on-site services for about 60,000 employees in more than 130 countries around the world.

Mark DeBenedictus, Vice President of Financial Services at EDS, an HP company, said: “American Express was looking for a partner to manage and transform its technology environment for better business outcomes. To do this, we’re combining EDS’ financial services industry knowledge with workplace and network services expertise.”

EDS provides consulting, outsourcing and managed services to all sectors of the financial services industry, including payments and securities processing,workplace, networking, data center and security services, applications development and management as well as customer relationship management.
