Credit Suisse Appoints New Co-Head Of Financial Institutions Greater China Coverage

He has experience in many high profile restructurings, capital raisings and cross-border M&As in the Chinese financial sector.

Credit Suisse has appointed Simon Yuan as Managing Director and Co-head of Financial Institutions Greater China coverage team in the Investment Banking Department.

 

Mr. Yuan will report to Rob Jesudason, Head of Financial Institutions Coverage in Asia Pacific, and Liping Zhang, Head of Greater China Investment Banking Department and will be based in Hong Kong.

 

Mr. Yuan will lead the bank's efforts to deliver more integrated financing and advisory products to its Chinese financial institution clients. The bank has reported that he will play a key role in developing relationships, originating and executing transactions for the bank's financial institution clients, working closely with Janice Hu in her capacity as Co-head of Financial Institutions China and the China coverage team.

 

Mr. Jesudason said: “His appointment is an important step in helping to drive the growth of our financial institutions business, which is a cornerstone to further develop our investment banking franchise in the region.”
