Citibank to offer Emirates Airlines airmiles on credit cards

BBR Staff Writer Published 09 May 2006

Citibank has launched a campaign to encourage uptake of its credit card in the UAE by teaming up with Emirates Airlines to award customers with free flights.

The Emirates-Citibank co-branded Credit Card is the only credit card in the UAE that rewards customers with Skywards Miles every time the card is used. Miles can be exchanged for free flights, excursions and other travel privileges. To encourage new customers, the bank is offering 15,000 miles on applying for a Silver card and 25,000 on a Gold card. At Citibank, we value our strategic alliance with Emirates which is one of the leading brands in the UAE and the region, and the airline of choice for our UAE-based customers, said Sanjoy Sen, country business manager for Citibank's consumer banking business in UAE.
