ABN Amro launches new online banking facility for corporate clients
Dutch bank ABN Amro has introduced a new internet banking service called "Access Online" for its international corporate market segment.
Through Access Online, companies can monitor all national and international payments online, as well as handle all daily banking transactions, such as payments, letters of credit and currency transactions. In the near future the service will also include deposits and cash management facilities. According to ABN, its new service will make it easier for companies to manage their working capital, which can contribute to interest gains, because it allows for a greater appreciation of cash flow dynamics, while also facilitating the swifter processing of transactions. Wietze Reehoorn, board member of ABN Amro Netherlands commented: As Access Online provides opportunities to lower costs and to improve margins, it gives companies a major competitive advantage. Especially large international corporations holding positions in different countries and in different currencies will benefit from its speed and ease of use. ABN Amro said it expects about 5,000 companies globally to be using the new enterprise-oriented internet platform within 18 months.
