1st Century Bancshares Added To ABA NASDAQ Community Bank Index

NASDAQ CBI is one of the nation's most broadly representative stock indices for community banks.

Los Angeles-based 1st Century Bancshares, the holding company of 1st Century Bank, has been added to the ABA NASDAQ Community Bank Index. NASDAQ CBI is one of the nation's most broadly representative stock indices for community banks.

Jason DiNapoli, President and COO, said: “We are excited about being included in the ABA NASDAQ Index. We believe being part of the Index will bring our bank added visibility and recognition by investors and prospective clients. 1st Century Bancshares was established in December 2007 and provides the Southern California community with tailored banking solutions to a variety of industries.”

1st Century Bancshares has approximately $260 million assets as of March 31, 2009. The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, 1st Century Bank is a full service commercial bank engaged in relationship banking.
